  3. For controlling the rash and swelling caused by the bites you can take oral tablets for antihistamine allergy
  4. You can buy a topical anesthetic, which contains pramoxine to provide pain relief, and for itch control use diphenhydramine.
  5. You may also take pain relievers that may contain naproxen or ibuprofen as needed.

Whenever you return from any overnight trips, then you must leave your suitcase in some area that is much further away from your places where you may be spending most of your time, particularly your bed. 

To get an extra amount of protection, you must wash your travel clothes as soon as you get back home. Those items that you cannot wash can be run through your clothes dryer for about 20 – 30 minutes at its highest heat setting. Your clothes dryer alone can get hot enough to kill the bed bugs and also their eggs.
